Welcome to Morocco! Upon your arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, you’ll be met by your friendly driver/guide and transferred to your riad located in the heart of the medina. After check-in and a bit of rest, your exploration of Marrakech begins.
A local expert guide will lead you through the vibrant streets of the old city. You’ll visit the magnificent Bahia Palace, with its intricate tilework and lush gardens, and see the impressive Koutoubia Mosque, the city’s largest and most iconic landmark. Then, discover the mysterious Saadian Tombs, hidden for centuries, and explore the maze-like souks, filled with spices, textiles, and handmade treasures. End your day at the lively Jamaa el Fna square, where snake charmers, storytellers, and food stalls bring the medina to life. Overnight in a traditional riad.
After breakfast, depart Marrakech and head into the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering dramatic landscapes and Berber villages perched on hillsides.
Stop at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its cinematic history—films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones were shot here. Explore the clay architecture and narrow alleys of this ancient ksar before continuing your journey.
Pass through Ouarzazate (known as the “Hollywood of Morocco”) and drive along the Valley of Roses, especially beautiful in spring. Reach Boumalne Dades, where you’ll spend the night in a cozy hotel overlooking the Dades Gorges, with its unique rock formations and lush valley.
Today, your adventure continues toward the Sahara. After breakfast, drive through stunning rock landscapes and Berber villages to reach the Todgha Gorge—a dramatic canyon with towering cliffs and a river running through it. Take a short walk here to admire the natural beauty and meet local people.
In the afternoon, arrive at Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here, you’ll meet your camel caravan and begin your trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, some of the highest in Morocco. As the sun sets over the golden sands, enjoy the peaceful desert atmosphere.
Arrive at your Berber desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with mint tea and dinner under the stars. Afterward, enjoy a traditional music performance around the campfire. Overnight in your private tent.
Today is all about discovering the culture and landscape of the desert region. After sunrise and breakfast, hop into a 4×4 vehicle and set out on an exciting excursion.
First, visit the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music and African roots. Enjoy a performance and learn about this community’s unique history. Continue on to the Mifis mines, an old French-operated site, and then meet a nomadic Berber family living in tents behind the dunes. Share tea and stories, gaining insight into their simple but resilient way of life.
After a traditional lunch, visit one of the palm-lined oases in the area before returning to your desert hotel or camp for a relaxing evening.
Rise early and, after breakfast, begin the scenic journey north to Fes. Along the way, pass through Erfoud, famous for fossils and dates, and stop at the panoramic Ziz Valley, known for its vast palm groves and kasbahs.
Drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Midelt for lunch. Continue past the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild Barbary macaques—feel free to stop and observe them.
In the late afternoon, pass through Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture and clean air. Arrive in Fes in the evening and check into your traditional riad inside the old medina.
After breakfast, meet your local Fes guide and prepare to dive deep into the cultural and historical heart of Morocco. Start with a visit to the Royal Palace gates and stroll through the Jewish Quarter (Mellah). Then enter the bustling medina of Fes el-Bali, one of the world’s oldest and most authentic cities.
Discover highlights such as the Al-Qarawiyyin University (the oldest existing university in the world), the Bou Inania Madrasa, and the famous Chouara Tannery, where leather is still dyed using traditional methods. Visit artisan quarters, spice markets, and quiet courtyards that hold centuries of stories. After the tour, return to your riad to relax or enjoy a final Moroccan dinner in the medina.
Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll be transferred to Fes Saiss Airport for your departure. If time allows, you may enjoy a short morning walk or last-minute shopping before saying goodbye to Morocco.
