After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and travel through the rolling hills and olive groves en route to Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural heart. Today is a journey through Morocco’s changing landscapes. Begin with a drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, a town known for its clean streets and alpine feel. Continue to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you might spot wild Barbary macaques. Break for lunch in Midelt, then head into the desert via the breathtaking Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and ksour (ancient villages). By late afternoon, you’ll reach Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise dramatically from the horizon. From here, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, a breathtaking route filled with panoramic views. Arrive in Marrakech by evening, where your tour ends.
