Your 5 Days Morocco Tour begins the moment you land in Tangier, a lively port city where Europe and Africa meet. After a warm welcome from your driver-guide, head south through the beautiful Rif Mountains, winding past green valleys and traditional villages. Arrive in Chefchaouen, the famed “Blue Pearl of Morocco”, nestled beneath the peaks. Spend your afternoon leisurely exploring its narrow blue-washed alleys, charming souks, and hidden cafés. Whether it’s relaxing in the main square or snapping photos against the blue backdrops, this town is pure magic. Overnight in a traditional riad.
After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and travel through the rolling hills and olive groves en route to Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural heart. Upon arrival, meet your local guide for a walking tour of Fes el-Bali, one of the world’s oldest and most fascinating medinas. Get lost (safely!) in its maze of narrow streets, explore ancient madrassas, marvel at the Al Quaraouiyine University (the oldest in the world), and witness traditional artisans at work from tanners and weavers to potters. The medina feels like stepping back in time. Overnight in a charming riad inside the old city.
Today is a journey through Morocco’s changing landscapes. Begin with a drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, a town known for its clean streets and alpine feel. Continue to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you might spot wild Barbary macaques. Break for lunch in Midelt, then head into the desert via the breathtaking Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and ksour (ancient villages). By late afternoon, you’ll reach Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise dramatically from the horizon. Swap your car for a camel and ride into the dunes to your desert camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner under the stars with traditional Berber music. Overnight in a luxury or standard tent.
Wake early to catch the sunrise over the dunes, a peaceful and awe-inspiring sight. After breakfast, depart the desert and travel west toward the Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon with towering cliffs, a favorite among hikers and climbers. Enjoy some time walking along the river, taking in the beauty and serenity of the gorge. Continue through Berber villages and lush oases until you reach the stunning Dades Valley, often called the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Here, the contrast between the red rocks and green fields is stunning. Overnight in a kasbah-style guesthouse.
Your final day takes you along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, through Rose Valley (famous for its spring rose harvest), and into Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Stop at the impressive Taourirt Kasbah before visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village that looks straight out of a movie set (and often is!). Walk through its winding mud-brick alleys and take in sweeping views from the top. From here, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, a breathtaking route filled with panoramic views. Arrive in Marrakech by evening, where your tour ends.
